Giving Tuesday 2020

SKIP Celebrates GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and throughout the year.

Each year, SKIP Supporting Kids in Pain continues to spread the word about its mission ... to make a difference in the lives of children.

According to founder Sarah Maisano, “At SKIP, our main priority is to cheer up as many kids as possible. We provide care packages that bring a lot of joy and provide fun and comfort to sick children in hospitals. The packages go to children of all ages through teenage years. These gifts would not be possible without the help of all of our generous sponsors.”

SKIP accepts donations and welcomes the contribution of new items for the packages, including coloring books, crayons, brand new reading books for all ages, puzzles, small games and flash cards.

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
